Refund/Cancellation Policy
The Mechanical Contractors Association of Manitoba (MCAM) values the relationships it has with MCAM members, Industry partners and their employees. This policy outlines the framework for refund and cancellation of MCAM events and memberships by MCAM, MCAM Members or event registrants. The intent of the Policy is to:
- provide expectations of good intention by MCAM to provide flexible and responsive refund options,
- protect MCAM from financial hardship, and
- maintain membership standards.
MCAM Membership Refund/Cancellation by MCAM
MCAM reserves the right to refuse or cancel MCA membership in accordance with Article VII of MCAM GENERAL BY-LAW NO. 1 (Article VII - Discipline or suspension of Membership), as well as resulting Board Governance Policies. Refunds will be provided on a prorated basis, less outstanding balance of accounts.
MCAM Membership Refund/Cancellation by Member
MCAM Membership may be cancelled at any point throughout the calendar year. Cancellation will be accepted by email or telephone. Company information will be removed from the MCAM Website within 5 Business Days.
Cancellations received within 30 days of registration are eligible for a full refund less the differential price between member and non-member rates for attended events during their tenure as a member. A cheque will be issued within 30 days. In the event this amount is negative, the cancelling member will be invoiced for the outstanding amount. Cancellations received beyond 30 days of registration are not eligible for refund.
MCAM Event Refund/Cancellation by MCAM
MCAM reserves the right to cancel an event due to low registration or other circumstances which would make the event non-viable. If MCAM cancels an event, registrants will be offered a full refund. Should circumstances arise that result in the postponement of an event, registrants will have the option to either receive a full refund or transfer registration to the same event at the new, future date.
MCAM Event Refund/Cancellation by Registrant
Cancellations will be accepted by email or telephone. Event refund deadlines will be outlined on registration materials. Where an outline is not provided, the deadline to receive a full refund is 5 business days prior to the event. Cancellations received after the stated deadline will not be eligible for a refund unless MCAM is able to fill the cancellation from an event waiting list. Refunds will not be available for registrants who choose not to attend the event. Refunds will be issued by cheque within 30 days of cancellation.
Merchandise Refunds
Refunds will be provided for unused merchandise whereby the original tags and packaging are Intact and secure. Shipping fees are not the responsibility of MCAM. Refunds will be issued by cheque.
